PROJECTS IN AFRICA
In 2011, ToJoy launched the China-Africa Project Hope, which builds Hope Schools in economically challenged regions in Africa. ToJoy took the lead with a donation of $15.5 million USD and built 23 Hope Schools that provided over 20,000 children access to better education. The first 23 primary schools were in Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda, and Namibia. The next wave of schools will be built in five additional African countries, including Zambia.
PROJECTS IN SOUTHEAST ASIA
ToJoy has made generous donations to help children suffering from AIDS and disabilities in Cambodia, including a recent donation of $150,000 USD to Cambodia’s Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope. Additionally, ToJoy has also made donations to several orphanages in Pattaya, Thailand.
PROJECTS IN CHINA
Since 2010, ToJoy has used over $1.5 million USD to establish four free clinics in rural Sichuan province. ToJoy donated over $650,000 USD to schools and impoverished school children after the Sichuan earthquake in 2008. In addition, ToJoy has given more than $730,000 USD in general donations to help fight poverty, contaminated rural water sources, and environmental degradation programs in China.
